IIT-xATP: Distributed temperature sensing

IIT-xATP measures distributed temperature along the single-mode or multimode optical fiber, registering Raman backscatter signal (stokes and anti-stokes component of scattering signal) from an OTDR. The device is compact and can monitor the temperature 24/7 with high accuracy, store the data for further analysis, and trigger the notification system if the temperature exceeds a pre-set value.

IIT-xATP can also be used as an OTDR to monitor the fiber continuity, and to measure optical fiber characteristics like attenuation, splice loss, length, and distance to inclusions.
